Is there a delivery charge?
No. If you are inside our coverage area then your delivery and pickup will be free.

Can I request a specific arrival time inside the delivery or pickup window?
No. All of our deliveries and pickups must occur within a 2 -hour window of your choosing.

When does my rental period begin and end?
Your rental period (the period of time that you are paying for) begins at the end of your delivery window and it ends at the beginning of your pickup window. For example, if you schedule an 8am to 10am delivery window and a 12pm to 2pm pickup window then you have scheduled a 2 hour rental period. In this example, your rental period begins at 10am and ends at 12pm.

Can I make changes to my order?
Yes. You may edit your order anytime up to 4 hours prior to the start of your scheduled delivery window. Once your order has been delivered, you may still add time to or subtract time from the duration of your rental (based on product availability).

Do you offer damage protection insurance on rental items?
No. We do not offer or require the additional purchase of damage protection insurance for rental items. Most damage to rented equipment occurs during transportation, loading and unloading. Improper use of equipment can also cause damage. Our tool experts train you (at your project location) on the proper use of all rental equipment and we deliver and pickup everything for you. This significantly reduces the likelihood of damage to rentals. Additionally, we have found that the fine print of most rental insurance is unclear and can exclude the most common types of damage. We feel it's in the best interest of our customers to avoid offering rental insurance.

Is my credit card secure?
Yes, your credit card is very secure. Our payment systems are PCI (Payment Card Industry) compliant and we are expected to maintain the highest of security standards in order to maintain our compliance level.

When will my credit card be charged?
Similar to hotels or car rental companies, we will pre-authorize your credit card for the total amount of your order. We may also pre-authorize an additional amount to cover potential damage that may occur to the rental item(s). This amount varies depending upon the value and fragility of the items you are renting. Your credit card will only be charged once your rental is complete and our delivery driver has picked up the rental item(s).

Do I need to fill the tank up with gas when I'm finished?
Yes. The equipment arrives with a full tank of gas. Please fill the tanks full of fuel when you are done running the equipment. If you have your own gas then please avoid using fuel that more than 1 month old. It's a very good idea to account for fuel consumption while planning your equipment rental project. Feel free to pre-order fuel with your reservation. This allows us to bring extra gas at the time of delivery. You will only be charged for the fuel that you use (in increments of 1/4 gallon).

Can I cancel my order?
You can cancel your reservation at any time up to 4 hours prior to the start of your delivery window. If the equipment is in good working order and you still can?t accept delivery of the equipment when we arrive at your delivery location then we will depart with the equipment and only charge you for 50% of the minimum rental period price. As long as the equipment is in good working order, once you have accepted delivery of the equipment and we have departed from your location then the minimum rental period price will apply.

Can I pickup my order at your rental store?
No. YardRents.com is a 100% e-commerce rental service and we do not have a physical store front where customers can pickup or drop off rentals.

Can you send a text ETA in advance of your arrival?
Yes. Once you are next in line for delivery, we will text you with an estimated arrival time. This assumes that the phone number on your order can receive text messages.

Can I use a debit card for payment?
Yes. Please remember that when we delivery the order we might pre-authorize your card for slightly more than the amount of your order. When we pick-up the order we will charge your card for the actual amount of the order. Banks typically take a few days before they update debit card records to reflect the actual amount charged to the card. During this time you might see the original pre-authorization amount instead of the actual amount charged. We're not sure why banks are so slow about doing this, but this is not an unusual occurrence for tool rental, car rental or hotel transactions that are completed using a debit card. Rest assured, we only get paid on the amount that you see on your final receipt.

Should I tip the delivery driver?
No. While your generous gesture would be appreciated, our delivery drivers do not expect tips or gratuity. The best way to show your satisfaction is to tell your friends and write online reviews about your experience.
